This is a great explanation of WeAre.xyz. You know you introduced me to it a couple of years ago. I had doubts as I went along, but now I’m full invested.
And this resonates with me-
“As Davies wisely notes, the preservation of family history requires acknowledging that not everyone shares our passionate interest in distant ancestors. By creating multidimensional knowledge networks that offer something for everyone—from the dedicated genealogist to the casually curious relative—platforms like WeAre.xyz help ensure that our carefully researched family histories will find an audience not just today, but for generations to come.”
Yes agree. I also like the way we can focus on, as Simon says, three crucial buckets of family knowledge: “Beyond Living Memory”, “Within Living Memory” and “Memories as they are created”!
Very interesting. But I worry about platforms closing down. I love technology but I have invested a lot of time into various offerings including computer programs only to find them disappear. Still I will take a closer look.
I wish we could say everything will be there forever, but alas, we will never know. Use multiple different ways to preserve our history, surely something will still be there in 100 years.
I love the term Knowledge Networks. If we are serious about our research that is exactly what we need. This is a great explanation also of how Weare works. I've had a quick look, but will pop back after AtoZ is finished for a deeper dive.

Excellent to know. Note: One Pace Studies is now an option there!
