I love this Carole. It's so simple to follow yet I can see how it would enrich my research. I must admit that I haven't thought to ask AI for a research plan, but will definitely be doing so. I'll be popping this info as a cheat sheet at the front of my digital research folder.
Carole, This is great information. In fact, I'm going to print this out so I'll have it at my desk to refer to. Love how you explained what AI can do and then sample prompts. Awesome!! Thanks so much!!
Hi Paul I am glad it is useful in smaller bytes! Sometimes we just need to breakdown a task, a new piece of learning or a project into manageable chunks!
Otter is great for recording an interview on my phone and getting a live transcript. When I’m in a very informal setting and someone starts sharing information with me about their life story, or about family history, I ask if they’re willing to be recorded. Then when we’re done with the recording I can use otter’s analysis tools to see if there are any follow up questions suggested, and I offer the person who I recorded to ask questions as well. Sometimes people want to in hear how their story would be summarized be me or by the AI, and that sparks further conversation. It allows me to be more collaborative about the process because it’s an accessible tool.

Great to know that it was helpful. I love the idea that you are going to print for reference. I was thinking it would make a great ‘cheatsheet’.

This will help me enormously thank you for breaking this down into smaller achievable steps

You can’t eat the whole elephant in one sitting definitely springs to mind!
This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I love having the help of otter and Claude but it’s great to see more use cases.

Your process with Otter is clear! Maybe others might like to try out Otter for interviews.
So glad it is helpful. I spend most of my time with ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. Tell me more about how you use Otter?
